Being part of The Scrub Society means sharing information about yourself with other professionals, communicating with them, as well as working privately on your own. By registering or by using The Scrub Society web site, services and applications (collectively the “Services”), you explicitly accept, without limitation or qualification, the collection, use and transfer of the personal information provided by you in the manner described in this Privacy Policy. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully as it affects your rights and liabilities under law. If you disagree with the way we collect and process personal information collected, please do not use our site or services.

This information is necessary for analyzing the use of resources, troubleshooting problems, preventing fraud, and improving our services.

How Information is Collected

By joining The Scrub Society, you voluntarily and willingly provide The Scrub Society certain information, including personally identifiable information and personal data, which we collect in order to provide the Services. If you have any hesitation about providing information to us and/or having your information displayed on The Scrub Society website or otherwise used in any manner permitted in this Privacy Policy and the User Agreement, you should not become a member of The Scrub Society community; and, if you are already a member, you should close your account. Registration

In order to become a User, you must provide us the following information to create an account: name, email address, password, username, location, years of nursing experience, and specialty. Without this minimal amount of information, you cannot create a The Scrub Society account. Like other passwords, you should choose one that is known only by you. The Scrub Society may request other information from you during the registration process or later to complete your full profile, (e.g., gender, level of education, etc.) that The Scrub Society uses to provide better, more customized services.

Profile Information

Once you become a User, you may provide additional information to your The Scrub Society profile describing your skills, professional experiences, educational background, group memberships, and networking objectives (among other options). Providing additional information about yourself beyond what is minimally required at registration is entirely up to you, but providing additional information enables you to derive more benefit from The Scrub Society.

Customer Service

We collect information when you interact with The Scrub Society’s customer service personnel in order to accurately categorize and respond to customer inquiries and investigate breaches of our terms.

Cookies

Like most websites, we use cookies and web log files to track site usage and trends, to improve the quality of our service, to customize your experience on The Scrub Society, as well as to deliver The Scrub Society and third-party advertising to users both on and off The Scrub Society site.
